Google sign-in and account details

We use Google to sign you in. We store your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile-picture URL, along with your access to wedding workspaces. Sign-in also uses a server-side session, including a Google access token. We do not receive your Google password. The sign-in permissions request your basic profile and email, not access to Gmail, Google Drive or your contacts.

If you register interest or create an account, we may also store the signup details you provide, such as your name, email and wedding date, plus referral information used to understand how you found the service.

Wedding and guest information

We store the wedding details and planning information entered into a workspace: for example, names, dates, venues, settings, updates, tasks, seating arrangements, gift lists and partner invitations.

Guest information can include names, email addresses, phone numbers, attendance, dietary requirements, messages, table assignments, gift claims and guestbook contributions. Guests should only include information they are comfortable sharing with the couple, particularly dietary or other sensitive details.

Who can see it

System emails go to the relevant recipients, such as guests, invited partners and the configured wedding contact. Site administrators also receive copies of system notifications. Some messages contain guest details or RSVP summaries. Hosting and email services process information as part of delivering the site, messages and backups. Google processes sign-in information when you use Google login; pages may also load fonts from Google.

Cookies and information saved in your browser

We use session cookies for sign-in and form security. Wedding pages also use cookies and local browser storage to remember RSVP details and related guest preferences. The RSVP cookie can last up to one year, and local storage remains until it is cleared or replaced. This can include your name, email, attendance and other RSVP form details.

On a shared device, sign out and clear this site's cookies and site data if you do not want those details remembered. Clearing browser data does not delete an RSVP or account from our server.

Storage, backups and retention

Account, wedding and guest information is stored in the site's database. Daily database backups are kept on the server, normally retaining the latest 30 daily snapshots, and copies are emailed to the site administrator for recovery. Information in backup copies and emails is not automatically removed when a live record is edited or deleted.

We do not currently offer an automatic account-expiry or self-service account-deletion process. Information may remain while your workspace is in use or until it is reviewed and removed following a request. Contact us about retention of a particular record, backup or email copy; we will explain what can be removed and any remaining copies or operational limits.

Corrections, deletion and support

Couples can manage wedding information and guest records through their administration area. Guests can ask the couple to correct or remove their information. For account or workspace deletion, access questions, or help with information you cannot change yourself, use our support form or email lockster@gmail.com.

Tell us which wedding or account the request concerns, but do not send passwords. We may need to verify your identity and authority before providing information or making changes. Requests are handled manually; deletion is not an instant button or a promise that every backup and email copy disappears immediately.

You can also review or remove the Google connection in your Google account settings. Removing Google's connection does not itself delete your wedding workspace or guest records; contact us to request that separately.
